Oral and Poster Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentation

  • For your oral presentation, a notebook with presentation software Microsoft Powerpoint and OpenOffice as well as a beamer will be available. We prefer not to change notebooks between presentations because of very tight time contraints.

  • In the speaker's room you can upload and test your presentation on the final session notebook. The room will be open Monday 8:00-12:00am and Tuesday 8:00-9:00am. We encourage you to copy the final version of your presentation to the session notebook on Monday. Local organizers will assist you. Of course, you can also e-mail your file to modelica2005@modelica.org before Friday, March 4th and we will install it on the correct notebook.

  • Contact your Session Chairperson prior to your session, discuss your technical requirements and information needed for your introduction

  • Use only standard fonts to ensure a correct display of your presentation.

  • If you need additional software for your presentation, please let us know.

  • Oral presentations must take no longer than 20 minutes. After the presentation, 5 minutes are reserved for questions and discussion.

Poster Presentation

  • For your poster, a presentation board (1m width x 1,5m height) will be available. It has a smooth surface, tape will be available from the conference office on site.

  • You can set up your poster Monday morning from 8:00 am in Room 0.08 in the conference building.

  • The poster session will be held on Monday, March 7 from 2:40 to 3:40 pm. You should be in the session room during that time for discussions on your presented work.

  • Please leave your poster in the poster session room until the end of the conference.

  • Let us know in case you need further equipment
