deltatheta


 

deltatheta will be exhibiting at Modelica 2009 and hope to introduce ourselves and our products to all attendees. deltatheta is a new company, based in Coventry, UK, with the aim of bringing Modelica firmly into the engineering design process.

We will be showing how the Modelica SDK can be used to develop Modelica-based applications and utilities, and add Modelica support to existing software products. The Modelica SDK is a Java based toolkit which provides all the requirements for Modelica support, from managing files on the path, parsing and saving the code, manipulating models and instantiating classes. The Modelica SDK was introduced in the Modelica Newsletter.

We will also be previewing, for the first time, a new modelling and simulation tool called Vertex, using Modelica and tightly integrated with existing engineering tools. These integrations and the new and unique features of this tool will be revealed at the conference, however it can be confirmed that this will include graphical diagram and icon editors, text editor with code completion and integrated documentation, documentation browser and html editor, and multiple simulation platforms.

The latest SimulationX 3.2 version provides new and directly applicable model elements in the libraries clutches, actuators, drive accessories, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, MBS mechanics (multi-body mechanics) enrich the validated model pool for SimulationX users. Especially the field of MBS mechanics provides an enlarged model range and numerous new characteristics to simplify the simulation of complex technical systems and to accelerate analysis up to 25 per cent. The new version of SimulationX 3.2 and results of latest development projects will be in the focus of various ITI presentations at this year’s Modelica Conference from September, 22nd to 24th in Como/Italy.

MathModelica is a platform for engineering as well as life science modelling and simulation based on the Modelica language. It provides an interactive graphical modelling environment and a customizable set of Modelica component libraries. MathModelica runs stand-alone, but at the same time it can integrate seamlessly with Mathematica, giving you access to unparalleled analysis capability.

During the presentation we will give a brief summary of the latest news, including the following news:

  • Create 3D models and animations of robots, engines, vehicles, etc, and include peripheral systems such as power supply, cooling system, and control system to get a complete model of your system.
  • A new publishing feature makes it possible to create interactive versions of your models for the web in a few clicks, including a zoomable and browsable model diagram, selected simulation results, model documentation, as well as information about variables and parameters.
  • As an addition to the formerly available dynamic sensitivity analysis it is now possible to perform FFT analysis of your results directly in the Simulation Center.
  • Run simulations in parallel in Mathematica in order to e.g. optimize your models.

Some of our upcoming additions, including support for SBML export and import, the Media library, and embedded systems, will also be covered.

Engineering Services and Software for Thermal Systems

TLK-Thermo GmbH offers engineering and software services for thermal systems with a focus on mobile applications, such as air conditioning, brake, fuel cell or thermal management systems. Our services cover computer simulation, measurement, software development, consulting and training. TLK-Thermo was founded in 2003 as a spin-off of the Institut für Thermodynamik, Technische Universität Braunschweig.

We offer the following Software products:

  • TISC: Middleware for coupling software such as Matlab/Simulink, Modelica/Dymola, Modelica/SimulationX, Flowmaster, Kuli, Ascet, Inca, Adams, Fluent, Star-CD, Star-CCM, CFX, Openfoam, Labview, Trnsys and others.
  • StateViewer: Advanced graphical thermodynamic presentation and documentation of fluid data produced in simulation and measurement.
  • TIL: Advanced Modelica library for simulation of fluid systems such as heat pump, a/c, refrigeration or cooling systems.
  • TILMedia: Interface to import various fluid property databases into different applications and languages such as Excel, Modelica, Matlab, Python, C++ etc.
  • EnergyViewer: Software tool for the dynamic presentation of any type of flow. Measurement or simulation data can be visualized.

In addition to this, TLK develops platform independent software on request. The focus is on simulation techniques for thermal systems, including visualization and GUI. TLK uses C, C++, C#, Python, Fortran, Qt, Modelica, Matlab/Simulink and its own libraries.
