How to register to the Modelica Conference 2012 in Munich


Online Registration (until Friday, August 31, 15:00 CEST)


End of electronic registration

Please note, that the electronic registration for the conference closes at Friday, August 31, 15:00 CEST. You can still register from September 3 to 5 directly at conference by the registration desk. Please provide the money in cash. You will get an invoice.

Before this deadline, please use the Conference Management System  for online registration:

and register as early as possible. The Conference Management System will guide you through the registration process. Note, the conference fees on the registration web page are split into two parts, one that is subject to VAT (catering and dinner) and one that is not subject to VAT (direct conference costs). Early registration ends July 1st, 2012 so be sure to register before that date to take advantage of the early registration discount.  The question "Are you attending? yes/no" on the registration web page means that if someone else is filling out the web registration page on your behalf (e.g. a secretary/assistant) then they should tick "no".

The following payment methods are available:

  • Payment by bank transfer
  • Payment by credit card (Master Card or VISA)

On completion of the registration process, the system produces an electronic confirmation of the registration which is automatically sent as a PDF file attachment to the e-mail address provided by the customer. You will also receive a paper invoice by post for tax purposes. This confirmation of registration only represents confirmation of participation once the participation fees have been paid in full.

Cancellation of Attendance

  • Cancellation fee until July 1st, 2012: 25,- EUR
  • Cancellation between July 1st and August 27, 2012: 30% of the booked services
  • Cancellations after August 27, 2012 are not refundable.

Important Notice for Exhibitors

Register only for the exhibitor place if you have applied previously to the conference organizers and your reservation was confirmed.





Selecting your tutorial 

The registration process requires you to select a tutorial. We use this information to estimate the number of attendees and then select a room with the necessary size for the tutorial.

Registration policy

At least one author of each final submitted paper must be registered before the deadline for uploading the full paper as well as the one-page abstract for the book of abstracts (July 15, 2012), otherwise the paper will not be included in the conference proceedings. The same author might present multiple papers.

It is considered unprofessional to submit a final version of a paper and then fail to show up at the session to present it. If you planned to present a paper, and you cannot attend the conference for some reason, please make sure one of your co-authors, or at least a qualified colleague, can present on your behalf.


Registration for Students

Student participants should send proof of their student status (such as a link to an institutional website with PhD students' names, a letter from the head of department, or similar) via email to or via fax to +49-8105-28-1441 when registering, in order to be eligible for reduced fees. A valid student-id card has to be shown at the registration desk at the conference.

The conference dinner (60€) is included for students as well. However, if you do not wish to attend to the dinner, there is the option to get a refund at the conference registration desk during the first day of the conference.
